Welcome to CANADA 2020 data collection form for measured rescue times.

Dear trusted data collector. In the following data collection form you will have a range of different options.

Please ensure that you follow the test standard for measuring average rescue time. You will find the test standard here: www.q2m2.com/WCDP2017/standard.

Please be aware that it is not possible to predict all different kinds of situations you unavoidable will experience when you collect the data. We hope you will do your best to make the data collection representative and true towards the actual rescue time.

Section E – lifeguard data
28 – What is the anonymous ID number of the lifeguard?
This information is used anonymously and strictly to correlate rescue time with age, years of experience, test times in pool tests, and results from theory test. No information from this data collection and/or data analysis which will enable other people to track results to individuals will be passed on to DNK management team or any other parties. Only DLR (Steffen) and relevant instructors know both the anonymous ID number of the lifeguard and the lifeguards name.

30 – How much experience has the lifeguard with real-life emergencies?
31 – How many times have the lifeguard had sharp INSITU this season?
“Sharp INSITU” is the test performed under the Performance Measurement Program.

Section F – responses
32 – Was it a beach guest that notified the lifeguard about the drowning incident?
Some times it is not the lifeguard him or her self that is the first to see the drowning incident but a beach guest that saw the drowning incident and then inform the lifeguard.

37 – What is the instructor's quality assessment of lifeguard operation?
This should be evaluated strictly and only by the instructor on a scale from 5 to 1. Where 5 is best quality and 1 is poorest quality. E.g. factor in in the assessment: Did the lifeguard have control of the situation? Did the lifeguard follow relevant procedures? Did the lifeguard flex from the procedures well-in-time when necessary? etc. The quality assessment of the lifeguard does not include “speed or operation time”.
